Student Art!

student work, Bellmont High School, October 2010

In yesterday’s post I shared images & instruction on how to create your own mandalas. Earlier this week I had the pleasure of doing an artist’s internship at Bellmont High School in Decatur, Indiana. The project I did with the 2nd period class was creating mandalas. They all did a wonderful job in the short amount of time we had. I wish I could have seen how all of their mandalas looked when they were finished! I was able to take some photos of some works in progress as well as some finished pieces. I thought it would be fun to show them today so you can see the variety of creations that were made. Thanks to the school, the classes and especially Mrs. Hoose for letting me be part of their week, I really enjoyed it!

I hope you will try your hand at making a mandala. If you do be sure to email me the finished piece, I’d love to share it on the blog!
