The difference of a year…

So it’s been exactly one year since we moved to our new home and I thought it would be a great time to go out and take some photos of the property to show the before/after images and the progress we’ve made in making the place our own.

It’s taken a lot of hard work, sweat and a more than a wee bit of cursing but we’ve about got everything off of the “to-do” list we had when we moved in.

The backyard is still a work in progress, I plan to add more raised flower beds and other items each year for the next few years.

blog Gazebo, before and after
This little semi-gazebo building is built on a slab of concrete from the original farm house that was on the property.

Of course my favorite place is my studio that we created in the old garage building.

The back deck of the studio is such a great place to hang out and relax, with an awesome view of the meadow and woods and lots of privacy. Napping in the hammock is my little slice of nirvana.

Add to all the structural and outdoor work we also painted every wall inside the house. Shew! Moving and settling up a new place is hard work. 🙂

I’ll be back soon with some new art to share!

  1. Love what you did with the barn & the gazebo! It doesn’t look like you did a ton, but absolutely maximum impact. Nice work!
