What’s next? I really don’t know! I’ve not worked on anything new for over a week, I’ve been laying low trying to recuperate from both a sinus infection and bronchitis. Blech! Just now getting around to feel human again. 🙂
Much of our time at the park was spent hiking around the lakes. We hiked Lake Ogle the first day we arrived but after we visited Strahl Lake that was our favorite hangout. It had FROGS! Lots & lots of frogs!
My favorite story of the trip is when we saw a frog swimming toward the shore and my grandson asked my husband “Poppy, what’s that frog doing?” My husband said, “He’s swimming to the bank.” To which my grandson exclaimed, “POPPY! Frogs don’t go to the bank!” LOL!
Of course we heard a lot more of them jumping in the water than we actually spotted, sneaking up on frogs is a hard thing to do when you are four years old!
I figured I’d just start off with flowers since that’s how I advertised it in the last post! These beautiful flowers (above & below) were growing on a hillside near our cabin, I simply couldn’t resist getting some photos of them.
I hadn’t been in the right place at the right time to catch any the last few years. This year it was so wet I never made it out into my own yard to photograph the Trout Lilies and Spring Beauties!
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a few days…I returned home & promptly became ill. Boo! Still in recuperation mode but I at least had enough energy for a blog post today!
As I mentioned in my last post, I spent most of last week in Brown County, Indiana with my grandson. We had a wonderful time!! And, yes, I was able to get out my camera and capture some photos while we were there.
So stayed tuned the next few days and look for more flowers, frogs, trees & scenery – I’ve got enough to keep you entertained for a while. Maybe by then I’ll feel up to creating some new art.
So maybe I fibbed when I said I’d have some new images for the blog today! I really do HAVE some, just not uploaded and ready to share. I had a great visit to southern Indiana, stayed in a little cabin at Brown County State Park with my four-year-old grandson. We hiked for hours each day and enjoyed all the nature…most especially the abundance of FROGS! Right now I’ve got images on my phone, my point & shoot camera as well as my Nikon so it will take me a bit to get them all downloaded, sorted and ready to share. You know what you’ll be seeing next week though, don’t you?
