The Art of Wine – Part 2

FB Wine Bottle 1, Art of Wine 2014

Here is another bottle for “The Art of Wine” event coming up on July 19th. Rather like night and day compared to the first one! 🙂 This bottle was covered with old dictonary pages before I began drawing/painting on the surface. I had printed this vintage lady on a book page several months ago, not quite sure what I’d use her for and she just seemed to fit perfectly!

From there I just let my imagination run. Evidently it ran right to a flower gardern, which isn’t surprising as I’d been putting in flower gardens around the house!

I went back over some of the detailed background with some neutral spray paint to soften and tone down the colors, they were a stealing the attention from the beautiful lady!

So that was my fun with giant wine bottles. Hope you enjoy it too!

Ginormous Egg Art!

I was given a fun opportunity to participate in a special event in Carmel, Indiana that started last week.

Several area artists were invited to decorate great big Easter eggs in their own unique style. The eggs will be used in a scavenger-style Easter Egg hunt, throughout the arts district, those that participate are eligible to win a prize basket. Here are some progress images of my egg, from start to finish:

Somehow coloring the regular size eggs this week doesn’t seem as exciting after tackling this one! 🙂
