Website update

I finally got the website updated tonight, including lots of new images and info about upcoming shows.  Here are two recent images that are now on the site.

I just keep going back to the “Art & Nature” series and making more.  I guess even with the snow flakes I’ve seen the last few days I am not ready to let go of the colors and feel of fall!

With their kind permission I am posting some images created by students in my recent “Nature Based Art Class”.  I truly enjoyed getting to know everyone who participated!  Additionally it was great fun to create and share artistic ideas with a group.  I hope each student had fun during the process.

It is so much fun to see how different each person’s art is!  Many of the images I am posting are digital collages, created in Photoshop Elements.

As you can see, even though they all used images of nature from photos the end results were quite varied!

In addition to taking photos and creating digital collage we experimented with some alternative printmaking techniques.

The printmaking projects were photographed and incorporated into some of the digital collages and/or used to create a collage on canvas.

The added benefit to teach is also that I get to play with my camera, with printmaking, with paint and paper and do activities that I probably would otherwise not take or make the time to do!  I am hoping to have another session early in 2009, if you have ideas or would like to be included in the contact list for upcoming classes please feel free to e-mail me at lynnemedsker@yahoo.com – thanks!
