Final Art Auction Items up for grabs!

Instead of just giving you a preview this evening I’m letting you know that the last of the new items have been added and are available for bid during the last 24 hours of the fundraising art auction! With many people traveling for the Easter weekend it gives you a bit longer to get your bids in before you leave and, I won’t have to worry about getting it online and active in the morning either. 🙂

A few of the new items were featured in advertising, so if you’ve been looking for them here they are! Additionally there is a class for two, a class for TWELVE and a portrait photo shoot up for bid.

Now, a request. The last few days the bids have been dwindling. I know you are probably getting tired of reading and hearing about it but I really, really need your help in sharing this info so we can raise as much money as possible these last 24 hours! It doesn’t take long to click “share”, write a quick e-mail or tweet about it so help as much as you can. Thank you~

Lynne

P.S. If you hadn’t heard yet we received a $200 donation to be applied to this lovely piece of art (that was generously donated by artist Doug Arnholter) – making this an even better opportunity for you to own this piece of art!

Taking a deep breath and…..

Whoosh! Exhale. The solo show is up at ArtSplash Gallery in Carmel, Indiana and I feel like I’ve got a little time to breath.  I’m still trying to clean and re-organize the studio after two months of cranking out new work, I’ve got a bit of a deadline for that since this Saturday is the Second Saturday Open Studio Tour as part of the Hendricks County Cultural Trail. In the meantime I’ve been playing a bit, digitally, with some items I’ve not done for a while. Today I thought I’d share a few digital kaleidoscopes I’ve created the last week.

I will, eventually, get around to sharing all the fun and funky upcycled/repurposed art from the show but that takes some photo editing and right now I’m not quite ready to tackle that task!

I hope that your summer is off to a fantastic start, enjoy all that it has to offer.

Fractal Frenzy!

I continue to keep busy making new digital art for my digital blog, digital+art+daily, so I am sharing a few new creations with you today.

I can seem to get away from creating fractals…I’ve made dozens over the last couple of weeks! I’m feeling the urge to return to digital drawings soon though, we’ll just have to wait & see what digital art I have to share next time!

Fractals on the go!

So, I’ve taken a few small trips to nearby destinations the last couple of weeks, enjoying spring break time with my friends and family who have some time off. Although it’s not been “spring” yet, with cold temperatures and some cloudy skies, it is at least a BREAK. I’ve carried my laptop with me on my travels so I could work on some digital projects if the time and and enthusiasm showed up to do so. At least on one occasion it did! I’m still processing, combining and interpreting some of the new fractals that sprung forth but here is a small selection of new pieces to share with you today:

I hope that your spring is progressing, however slowly, into a time you enjoy! As I’m going to be gone again for a few days this week I probably won’t be posting again until next.

Later gator,

Lynne

Odds & Ends

Wrapping up the digital drawing/sketching I’ve ended up with a group that doesn’t have a particular theme, but I wanted to share them anyhow. So here you go:

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some of my explorations in digital art. I’ve also been experimenting with plaster! Remember what my word for 2013 is, right?

Ode to Nature

It seems a lot of my recent work includes these twisting, turning, swirling leaves/blades of grass/vine-type organic shapes!  Remember “Dormant No More”?  They are just what flows out of me right now. Here are three digital drawings that all have that type of “feel” to them…

I’d almost guarantee that you’ll see more that are similar in style! I’ve also been more than a bit obsessed with drawing/creating trees. Perhaps it’s indicitave of growth?  I don’t even know why I do what I do…I just do it.

Hmmmm,

Lynne

Seeing Red

Moving from the black & white images from my previous post I seem to be in the mood for red quite a bit lately. I love how it just pops off the page when used with black, white & grey. These images were all created with the same program but on different computers and will different tools. Can you tell which one I used my finger to “paint” with? 🙂 Hey, a finger is a built in tool, let alone the least expensive!

Be sure to “click” on these images to see the full version! Next post? I’m changing it up a bit and sharing the beginnings of a new photo/digital series of work! Then back to more digital drawings, with even MORE colors. 🙂 I do have to say that these have also inspired me to do more “real” drawing and sketching as well, but we’ll catch up on that down the road a bit.

Later gator!
Lynne

Monochrome

It seems I’ve been doing as much (or more!) digital art explorations than anything else the last month or so. I decided I better start sharing some or I’ll never get caught up! Please do remember, these are part of my learning curve with new media and tools…some I am really excited about, others not so much….but they are all part of making progress. 🙂 Today I am sharing some of the black & white sketches I’ve done:

If you enjoy color don’t worry, there will be lots of it in upcoming posts!

Creatively,

Lynne
